Path of the Mind in Transportation
ITS Türkiye was founded with 20 founding members on March 15, 2016 in accordance with one of the actions described in the National Intelligent Transportation Systems Strategy Document (2014-2023) and the Supplementary Action Plan (2014-2016) prepared by Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure in 2016, which says “A roof non-governmental organization (AUS Türkiye/ITS Türkiye) will be established to coordinate and provide recommendations by bringing together stakeholders from different disciplines and sectors in order to implement Intelligent Transportation Systems in a healthy and correct manner way”.
To ensure the development of the sector at national and international level by contributing to the country policy on Intelligent Transportation Systems in line with the developments in the world in this field and the opinions of all stakeholders.
Transforming the competition in the field of ITS into benefits for our country on a global scale, by bringing all stakeholders together to develop, implement and overcome the challenges of interoperable Intelligent Transportation Systems managed with information and communication technologies.
To conduct activities in an innovative and inclusive way for the development and growth of the intelligent transportation systems sector which is contributing to secure, safe, comfortable, environmentalist and economic sustainability of transportation services in our country and to increase deployments of these systems by following studies in this field.
