Gökhan Macit was born in Ankara in 1977. After graduating from Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering in 1999, Macit completed his Master's degree in Business Administration at Hacettepe University, Institute of Social Sciences in 2001 and his Master's degree at Middle East Technical University, Institute of Science, Department of Civil Engineering in 2002.
In 2000, Mr. Macit started his career as an Assistant Inspector at the Inspection Board of the General Directorate of Highways and became an Inspector in 2004.
Gökhan Macit was appointed as Internal Auditor in 2007 and served in this position for 10 years. In 2017, he became the Head of Strategy Development Department and was appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Highways on September 5, 2023.
Macit is married with 2 children and speaks English.
