The Electric Vehicle 'Ceryan' Prepares to Hit the Roads

The single-door electric vehicle "Ceryan," with a range of 100 kilometers, developed by Solvaytech engineering firm located within Çukurova Technopark in Adana, has begun preparations for serial production after completing road tests.

Solvaytech Engineering started working on producing a domestic electric vehicle four years ago, and the physical development process for "Ceryan" with a single door and two separate batteries was completed in two years. One of the batteries allows the vehicle to reach a range of 60 kilometers, while the other extends it to 100 kilometers.

Despite having a lightweight of 450 kilograms, "Ceryan" is designed for two passengers but can carry up to four people, according to Özgür Polat, the founder of Solvaytech. He mentioned that the prototype of the vehicle, which has been verified through accuracy tests, has been completed, and they are currently working on preparing it for serial production. The founder of Solvaytech stated that they are trying to source the vehicle's subsystems, such as tires, rims, differential, display screens, and lighting equipment, from domestic companies as much as possible. This way, they aim to keep the knowledge and expertise in the electric vehicle sector in Türkiye.

It was also noted that the development of the vehicle, which can reach a speed of 45 kilometers per hour, involved a team of 11 engineers specializing in energy systems, computer science, electrical engineering, and automotive engineering. The project has applied for the National Technology and Techno-Entrepreneurship Awards by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
