Northern Marmara Motorway Enterprise, which consists of two separate companies as EUROPEAN MOTORWAY INVESTMENT AND OPERATION Inc. on the European side and NMM ANATOLIAN MOTORWAY OPERATION Inc. on the Asian side, is equipped with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies in order to ensure the safety of highway users. 

Thanks to IT technologies, 2360 cameras, 86 variable message signs, 126 variable traffic signs, 78 traffic count sensors, 21 meteorology stations and scada tunnel/highway safety system data located along the entire motorway route are obtained from one main and two sub-control centers. By monitoring the traffic and road conditions 24/7, motorway traffic safety is controlled and it is aimed to provide uninterrupted, comfortable and high standards of motorway traffic service by responding to incidents quickly.
