GAME CHANGER: ITS LISBON 2023

The 15th ITS European Congress will be held in Lisbon between 22-24 May 2023 this year. The Congress will focus on how Intelligent Transportation Systems change mobility and lives with the theme of “Game Changing AUS (ITS: The Game Changer)”.

The city of Lisbon, which received the European Green Capital award in 2020 and is the champion of urban sustainability, is very suitable for holding an ITS congress, especially due to the nature and weather of May. The Municipality of Lisbon, which allocates 40% of its 2022 mobility budget to climate change, aims to make transportation more accessible and free for the young and old population. At this year's ITS Congress in Lisbon, attendees will not only see the host city's achievements in ITS, but also truly experience how smart mobility solutions are changing the game.

The host of the 2023 ITS Congress, Lisbon Mayor Carlos Moedas, cites ERTICO as a prime example of how different sectors can partner to bridge that gap between the application of science and mobility services that make a difference in people's lives, while Lisa Boch, ERTICO Congresses, Events and Communications Director.
