The themes of the European Mobility Week 2022, which aims to promote urban mobility and invite people for behavioral change through active mobility, public transport and other clean, smart transport solutions are People, Place, Packages and Policy&Planning. During this special week, as an association, we organized the following webinar series, which we believe will raise awareness in line with this year's theme and topics, by bringing together experts in the field of ITS and sector representatives
1. Micro Mobility
The first one of the webinar series organized by ITS Türkiye within the scope of European Mobility Week was held on September 16, 2022. Dr. Selim DÜNDAR who is Head of Department of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Okan University, moderated the webinar, and Mr. Mehmet HAYIRLIOĞLU from Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Ersoy SOYER from Yapıdrom Technology Inc, Mr. Yiğit KİPMAN from HOP Scooter and student Şevval ÖZER from Yalova University participated as speakers. They mentioned issues such as the projects and arrangements carried out by Konya Metropolitan Municipality in the field of micromobility, the contributions of micro transportation systems in our country to the sustainable transportation network with other transportation systems and how these transportation systems are viewed by the users. 2. Intelligent Planning of Transportation
Prof. Dr. Mustafa ILICALI, who is Director of Istanbul Commerce University Transportation Systems Application and Research Center, moderated the webinar and Prof. Dr. Halim CEYLAN from Pamukkale University, Seda KÖRDEVE from Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Enver MAMUR from MoT&I General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments, and Berkant GÜZELKÜÇÜK from MCE Engineering participated as speakers. They mentioned issues such as Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality's planning projects within the framework of ITS, intelligent transport systems in urban rail systems and movement-based transportation planning models.You can access the webinar from here.
3. Next Generation Delivery
Prof. Dr. Mehmet TANYAŞ who is the Head of Istanbul Maltepe University Department of International Trade and Logistics, moderated the webinar and Prof. Dr. Mehmet ADAK from Istanbul University, Assoc. Dr. Çağrı KOÇ from Rotamopt Information Technologies, Dr. Murat KORÇAK from MoT&I General Directorate of Transportation Services, Dr. Tuba GÖZBAŞI from Optiyol Inc. and Sevtap KORUNUR from PTT participated as speakers. 4. Clean Energy and Mitigating the Negative Effects of Transportation on Environment
Mr. Zafer KORKULU who is Head of Energy Transformation Department of EMRA, moderated the webinar and Prof. Dr. Ahmet YAZICI from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Mr. Jop SPOELSTRA from Technolution and Mrs. Şebnem Tuğçe PALA from UtilityAPI participated as speakers. The webinar focused on the Clean Energy and Mitigating the Negative Effects of Transport on The Environment.
