ITS Türkiye is awarded with "Excellence in Transportation Award" by ITS Nationals
The Network of National ITS Associations (ITS Nationals) organized an award ceremony at the network's general assembly gala night in Bern, the capital of Switzerland. At the award ceremony organized by the Network of National ITS Associations, the winners were announced. ITS Türkiye received the “Excellence in Transportation Award”.
By winning the “Excellence in Transportation Award”, ITS Türkiye has stood out as the most active and influential ITS association in its country over the past year. Throughout 2024, ITS Türkiye organized “SUMMITS'24 4th International ITS Summit”, “7th Path of The Mind in Transportation Awards”, academic conference and trainings, activities to disseminate national ITS projects, a series of webinars and various events to share prominent ITS applications and successful examples in Türkiye and around the world to the transportation communities inTürkiye, and shared them in its quarterly ITS Türkiye Newsletter and social media accounts.
“The National Network of ITS Associations enables the sharing of best practices by national ITS associations and in turn helps them to support their members,” said Dónal Hodgins, Network Chair. “These awards are a great way to learn more about what individual members are doing, share experiences and help to better serve individual members at a national level.
The Network of National ITS Associations is an organization that supports the development and sharing of best practices, connecting its members, sharing news and research to better inform its members, sharing case studies and promotional materials to advance the implementation of ITS, and supporting the members of the Network of National ITS Associations to participate in national, European and global ITS congresses and supporting ERTICO and other bodies in the organization of these congresses. The organization of the award ceremony within the scope of these activities took place before the general assembly meeting in Bern. The award of ITS Türkiye was received by Mr. R. Çağrı Yüzbaşıoğlu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors representing ITS Turkey. Organized by the 30-member National ITS Associations Network, the national ITS associations that received awards at the award ceremony were as follows:
