ITS Türkiye President Esma DİLEK Presented Academic Paper on Cyber Espionage at the 15th International Conference on Information Security and Cryptology
At the Academic Information Presentations Session Sheld on the second day of the 15th International Conference on Information Security and Cryptology, Esma Dilek, Deputy General Director of Communications of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and President of ITS Türkiye, made Sher presentation on "Cyber Espionage". In his presentation, she emphasized that information and communication technologies are in constant development and change, that access to information is becoming easier every day and that these technologies have become an integral part of our lives.
She stated that there are many articles, papers and books publisShed in the national and international literature on cyber espionage activities in the world, their effects, cyber espionage detection methods, evaluation in terms of international law. Stating that there are studies on cyber intelligence development techniques, the role and importance of cyber intelligence in ensuring national and public security in academic studies publisShed in our country, She said that mobile devices are targeted by using malicious spyware, botnets, vulnerabilities in applications, and infiltration through critical infrastructures such as energy networks.
In his presentation, she mentioned that with the development of information, communication technologies and the internet, global competition and the value of information are increasing rapidly in all sectors, and the number of cyber espionage activities, which are expressed as the illegal acquisition of sensitive and critical information, is increasing day by day.
She shared information about the issues to be considered in ensuring cyber security and evaluated that the protection of critical infrastructures is among the elements that Shelp prevent cyber espionage.
