The 2023 European Mobility Week, aimed at promoting urban mobility and inviting people to embrace active mobility, public transportation, and other clean, intelligent transportation solutions to bring about behavioral change, has been themed as "Discover City" under the slogan "Save Energy." During this special week as ITS Türkiye, we organized the following webinar series that we believe will raise awareness and bring together experts and industry representatives in the field of ITS:
The session on "Active Mobility," moderated by Prof. Dr. Halim Ceylan, a faculty member at Pamukkale University, featured speakers Murat Mustafa Harman, Head of Intelligent Transportation Systems at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and Dr. Musab Talha Akpınar, a lecturer at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. This session took place on September 18, 2023, and it focused on discussions related to active mobility, including the efforts of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in this field, electromobility, and applications in Türkiye. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality's Transportation Department Head Kadir Gürkan, Parabol Marketing Director Tuğçe Işık, and Dr. Hakan Uzun, Head of Transportation Planning Department at İzmir Metropolitan Municipality's ESHOT General Directorate, participated as panelists on the webinar held on September 19, 2022. The session was moderated by Dr. Fatih Gündoğan, General Manager of Tekhnelogos. The panelists included Sociologist Dr. Dursun Ayan, Yiğit Kipman, Co-Founder of HOP, Veysel Çıplak, Head of Strategy Department at Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, and Beril Kırcı, IT Group Manager at PMO Partners. The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Halit Özen from the Department of Civil Engineering at Yıldız Technical University. During this webinar, several topics related to transportation and infrastructure were discussed, including Mobility as a Service (MaaS) projects, R&D projects of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Tek Kart project, Konya Metropolitan Municipality's Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP), integration efforts, and collaborative projects.
